  • Mexico is a third world cleptocratracy, still run as an exploitive colony, and shit lkke this, and the terror drug gangs is only part of the systemic disfunction making life hell for a huge number of people there. Keep in mind that much of there industrial and agricultural industries are unregulated, and the whole thing can be taken as an example of what is wanted by the elites in the "civilised first world"
  • The article mentions that a breach of the Darien Gap in 2022 is where all of this started.

Sterile mosquito drops were stopped due to the pandemic, plus over 250k migrants crossing the gap contributed to the breakdown of a biological barrier. Pretty wild to think of the long term consequences.

  • Good thing DOGE cut the screwworm program. Don't want to waste money. https://www.agri-pulse.com/articles/22636-bird-flu-screwworm...
  • The fact that sterile mosquito drops were stopped due to the pandemic, was the cause, together with the fact that after the pandemic no measures were taken to compensate this, even if it was obvious that they are imperatively needed.

There is no relationship between the number of migrants and this.

If there was an increase in smuggling cattle over the Gap, that could have contributed, but the human migrants do not carry the flies.
