  • need a good system for cross compiling linux for arm

rpiOS is a pain to use, everything is bloated and janky

this pilfs thing is about local compilation, how long will it take an entire system on a rpi5, let alone just ff or chrome

need a convenient way to cross compile from x86-64,and be able to compile updates and security patches.

also please no systemd, sysVinit openrc, seriously, systemd is a liability, how can we remove this cancer from the ecosystem.

  • This appears to be 5 years and 1 major LFS version out of date. Although, I suspect it wouldn't be hard to adapt to current, other than maybe the switch to systemd.
