  • It's clever, but I think there's more to a roguelike than 'ASCII graphics and you die a lot'.

    To be honest, I did not care for the real-time experience, with a combination of conceptual (ASCII) enemies and complex animation, and constant text messages. The actual gameplay experience felt kind flappy bird like, with little time for contemplation, impending doom or otherwise. I quit before dying, which is a bad sign. The concept is intriguing but needs refinement.
