  • Unless you bought HP (who ignores customers) or Dell (who has an explicit term of purchase saying you bought it with the license and must return it on license rejection). And eons more unlikely if you're in the US.
  • Dell usually has the option of buying it without an OS, at least here in Ireland.

    The title is a bit misleading. But getting back $60 for something you do not use is still a good deal.
